🔒Problem Statement

Create a digital platform that offers accessible mental health support for remote workers dealing with stress and isolation, integrating mindfulness practices into their daily routines.

🚀 Our Official Sprint Questions

  1. What makes our product unique compared to other brands?

  2. The app needs to be fixable, prevent getting tired of using the app, and stop using it.

Challenges from our official sprint questions:

  1. What would be our unique features?

  2. How do we keep users from leaving our app?

📖 Map: Note-n-Map

"Note-n-Map" is a collaborative exercise aimed at mapping the user journey. Individuals create their own user journeys; then, team members narrate their journeys, highlighting important steps. Finally, individual stories are merged into one cohesive narrative, revealing converging patterns and forming the comprehensive user journey map.

🎯Map: Target Audience

After the desk research step, we discussed who is the most important customer, and built a persona.

🎯Map: Sprint Focus

Among the task flow, we’ve decided on our three sprint focus connecting to How Might We questions.

🖍️ Sketch: Crazy8 & Solutions

Each Crazy 8 drawing for one user flow takes 8 minutes to draw, then, brought solution drawings based on notes, ideas, and Crazy8’s.

✅ Decide: Sticky Decisions

In this step, we decided which solutions to prototype. From Tuesday’s solution drawings, we voted anonymously, wrote all promising ideas and questions.

✅ Decide: Story Board

Each participant outlines the 4-6 actions or experiences the user will undertake to progress from the starting point to the goal. Then, we shared, voted, and decided 8-10 user actions/ experiences to create storyboard.

📱Prototype: Wireframes & Designs

Each teammate designs each feature they like to research more and design. Then, we built a style guide and brand identity for visual design.

A smooth process in choosing which feature they would like to design: The features they came up with or voted for from Solution Sketch from Sketch Day.

Our team communicates well in speaking out which feature has to be added or removed during the Wireframing, Mockup, and Prototype process.

Activity

🧑‍💻Test: User Testing

Objectives(What specific insights are you seeking to gather?)

  • Check user flow to see if it meets our design purpose.

Select Participants

  • Working adults 19-60

  • Fully Remote job

  • 7 Participants

Task

  • Add Posify’s recommendation to-do: ”walking outside for 3 minutes” (Flow of Home/ Activity)

  • Find today’s Activity, and what is the morning soundscape recommendation? (Flow of Home/ Activity)

  • Write today diary

  • In Community, can you explore Tina’s post?

  • Get a new character

  • Can you turn on the notification setting of the mindful moment? (Flow of Profile)

Questions

  1. What are your initial thoughts upon seeing the interface?

  2. Were there any difficulties navigating through different sections?

  3. Are the text and instructions clear and easy to understand?

  4. Do the visuals enhance or distract from the overall experience? (design: color, shapes, etc)

  5. Did you encounter any obstacles or confusing elements during the tasks?

  6. What improvements would you suggest for a better experience?

  7. On a scale of 1 to 10, how satisfied are you with the overall user experience?

  8. How likely are you to recommend this interface to a friend or colleague?

Result

  • The diary has an intuitive design because of the calendar with emotion tracking. 2. Each button and icon were clear enough to understand the function and follow the tasks.

  • Consistency-(Home/Gatcha/Diary/Activity/Community )because of the usage of illustration and real pictures

🧭 Future Plan

Design Sprint’s Timeline & Management

  • The sprint forces us to make decisions quickly, at first sight, it looks like the process is going to be more complicated but the guided step-by-step sections of the sprint let us discover new possibilities to solve a design problem. Communication is key in this type of situation, our team gets to solve this in a very effective way, always thinking loud when needed and sharing our findings on each stage.

Prototype

  • Our findings after the User Testing let us know our improvement areas about our product. Besides that, our prototype still has some issues that need to be solved, small mistakes like unconnected buttons or typos on the first version could ruin or change the UX of the overall product.

  • The Moderated User Testing guides these users through our product making this process easier and avoiding these little errors in our prototype. With their feedback, we can discuss and improve our UI/UX before the launch of our app.
